Our Impact
In The Community
Our impact is reflected in the community initiatives we are proud to support. These are projects that strengthen health and social services, enrich education, preserve culture and heritage, and foster community vitality. Each initiative we fund responds to real needs within Quebec City’s English-speaking community and is guided by thoughtful stewardship and lasting vision. Through these partnerships, we help turn generosity into meaningful, measurable change.
Project Name
Mary Gillespie' House
In 2024, The Jeffery Hale Foundation committed to support the purchase of Mary Gillespie' house for its life-long partner JH Partners. This unique landmark will serve as a welcoming and inclusive community space, with a particular focus on activities for adolescents and adults with special needs. The house will provide a safe, supportive environment where participants can build life skills, foster social connections, and take part in meaningful programming tailored to their abilities and aspirations. More than a physical space, it will become a hub of belonging — strengthening families, reducing isolation, and enriching the fabric of our English-speaking community.

Project Name
The Cathedral Gardens
The Cathedral Gardens will be a cherished green space in the heart of the city — a place of beauty, reflection, and community gathering. Through its support, the Foundation will help ensure its preservation and vitality for future generations. More than a garden, it is a living symbol of our shared heritage and a welcoming space where residents and visitors alike can connect with history, culture, and one another within Quebec City’s English-speaking community.

Project Name
Quebec City
Reading Council
In 2025, the Foundation agreed to support a transformative project for the Quebec City Reading Council, enabling this organization to move from consolidation to meaningful expansion, directly strengthening literacy across generations in our English-speaking community. By investing in adult and family programs, innovative learning tools, and improved communications, the Foundation will help QCRC significantly broaden its reach. This funding will not only enhance access to essential life skills, financial literacy, and early childhood learning resources, but will also ensure that vulnerable children, adults, and seniors are better equipped to thrive personally, academically, and professionally, creating lasting and measurable community impact.
